Poste Lafayette
On the east coast, Poste Lafayette is a gentle curve of flat white sand backed by forest. Further south the reef shelters the lagoon and swimming is safe; in the north a reef gap lets waves pound the rocks. At weekends Mauritian families picnic here. A coastal path runs to Roches Noires and Bras d'Eau park is close by.
