La Preneuse
A quiet public beach about 2 km long between Black River and Grande Rivière Noire, mostly used by locals. It is home to the island's best-preserved Martello tower, now a museum, and a few old cannons. Fishing boats at anchor, excursion departures and dolphins often seen offshore. Sunset facing Le Morne is superb.
