Belle Mare
Belle Mare is the longest beach in Mauritius, on the reef-protected east coast. The sand slopes gently into often shallow water, known for snorkelling, especially in the southern section. Large hotels and a public beach share the shore. The steady breeze attracts windsurfers and kitesurfers; parasailing and banana rides for the more active.
