Bel Ombre
A former sugar estate turned upscale tourist hub, Bel Ombre stretches along the south coast between hotels and a public beach. Reef gaps let strong waves in, so swimming is tricky, but the spot draws kitesurfers looking for steady wind and fewer crowds. At low tide you can wade through the shallows to Îlot Sancho. Coordinates: village.
