Île de la Passe
A fortified rocky islet guarding the entrance to Grand Port bay, armed with a battery. Taken by the British on 13 August 1810, it was central to the Battle of Grand Port (20–27 August 1810), often described as France's only Napoleonic-era naval victory over the Royal Navy. Its buildings are being preserved.
