Trou d'Argent (Rodrigues)
Wild cove enclosed by low cliffs, where legend says a pirate hid treasure. Reachable only on foot via the coastal trail (about 1 h walk under casuarinas from Pointe Coton). Clear water, parrotfish.
Saint-François (Rodrigues)
Sleepy fishing village and hub of the east coast. Snorkel 'the aquarium', a coral-lined channel full of fish; the La Passe St François dive site is nearby.
Pointe Coton (Rodrigues)
Wide white-sand beach lined with casuarina trees, generally considered the island's most beautiful. Usual end point of the coastal trail from Graviers.
Anse Bouteille
Small cove between rocks on the coastal trail (~2.4 km from Graviers); lagoon with coral and colourful fish, a fine snorkelling spot.
Graviers
Long golden-sand beach at the end of the road, accessible by car. Octopus fishers work offshore. Start of the island's best-known coastal walk. Kite spot (near La Belle Rodriguaise).
Anse Mourouk
Large lagoon (~1.5 m deep) swept by the trade winds, Rodrigues' kitesurf hotspot; marine park and snorkelling on the nearby reef, gear rental.
Pâté Reynieux
Beach where swimming is possible; strong winds make it a top kite and windsurf spot.
Port Sud-Est
Tiny village with a turquoise lagoon where women spear-fish octopus. Fishing boats leave for Île aux Chats and Île Hermitage (snorkelling); La Grand Passe dive site offshore.
Anse Ally
Palm-fringed white-sand beach north of Saint-François village, home to the Tekoma hotel; reached by road or coastal path.
Grand Baie (Rodrigues)
Bay with crystal-clear water and white sand, reached by road or coastal path (as is Anse Fumier).
Anse aux Anglais
Lively coastal village with a long beach; snorkelling possible.
